Good afternoon! 🌞 On February 2, we went on a trip to Ijen. It was amazing! 😍 We are thrilled! So many emotions! 🔥
Let me start by saying that we booked everything very conveniently. In advance, we contacted the manager of Mybalitrips on Telegram; she answered all my numerous questions and helped us choose what we really needed. Thank you for your patience and help! 🙏
About the trip itself: everything was very well organized. Our driver, Buldog, arrived even earlier than the appointed time and waited for us. He drove the car comfortably; we talked with him about various things, he shared interesting moments about life in Bali, made necessary stops, and was very attentive. The car was clean and comfortable. We managed to sleep and look around. The road was long, but we love traveling like this, and it flew by unnoticed for us! Thank you, Buldog! 🙏
We also had time for lunch. A nice restaurant with pleasant and quick service, good prices (we ate for about 500,000 rupiahs). We tried local dishes; they were delicious! We liked it! 😋
The forest was gorgeous. Impressive! Really like something out of a fairy tale. We walked there; we had plenty of time, enjoyed the views, and took beautiful photos. There were few people; we found all the best photo locations. 😍
We enjoyed the homestay. Such a lovely place. Everything was so authentic! We liked it very much! The hotel staff organized dinner and ordered breakfast for us the night before; we had a wonderful rest there. The bed with a canopy gets a special like! ❤️
At one in the morning, we set off for the volcano. At the foot of it, they gave us coffee, bananas were available, and we had energy bars with us. We fortified ourselves before the challenging ascent.
As we climbed, it was warm, and we walked to the crater in t-shirts, but during the descent into the crater, we needed warm clothes.
Aziz accompanied us to the volcano. A very knowledgeable guide. It was very comfortable with him: he adapted to us, helped during the descent into the crater, instructed us, provided everything necessary (glasses and respirators were very much needed), and told us a lot about the volcano, we had the best places for "seeing/photographing"! And he was a good photographer!
The ascent to the volcano and descent into the crater were quite normal for us, as we are actively engaged in sports. Perhaps it would be difficult for someone, but everything is possible. Everyone who went out with us that night reached the lake in the crater. Some reached it. There is a service where you sit in a special comfortable cart, and 2-3 people lift you. Crazy job, but it is popular, especially among the Chinese. They took such carts for the ascent and descent. The ascent cost about a million rupiahs, the descent was cheaper.
We were lucky enough to see the blue flame. Yes, small, but as much as we talked with the locals who have been on this volcano many times, they managed to see it only once, and we saw it, and it's precious to us!
We saw how the miners work; it was impressive. After the trip, we still read a lot about their very hard work. We bought a couple of sulfur souvenirs from them. Hope they will pass them through the plane. 🙏
After that, we climbed out of the crater and walked around. As dawn broke, it was indescribably beautiful around! The climb to Mount Ijen became a bright and unforgettable adventure for us! 🔥
After the volcano, we went to the waterfall. We were also lucky that there were no people. A bright oasis! Very beautiful! 😍
On the way back, we slept most of the road. Made necessary stops, arrived at the specified time.
Thank you for organizing our wonderful tour! ❤️ Everything was fantastic! 🤗
