Silver Jewelry Making Workshop

Romantic date

Some souvenirs eventually end up forgotten on a shelf. Others become part of your story. During this workshop, you won't simply buy a piece of jewelry to remember Bali—you will create it with your own hands. Every line, every curve, and every tiny detail will reflect your work, making your piece truly one of a kind.

The workshop takes place in Celuk Village—the heart of Balinese silversmithing, where the art of jewelry making has been passed down through generations. Guided by experienced master artisans, you will follow the complete journey of a silversmith: learn traditional techniques, bring your own design to life or choose one of the available models, and transform a piece of raw silver into a beautiful piece of jewelry, step by step.

No previous experience is required, making this workshop perfect for both adults and children. It's not about achieving flawless perfection, but about enjoying the creative process, discovering something new, connecting with Balinese traditions, and spending a few memorable hours creating with your own hands.

By the end of the workshop, you will take home much more than a ring, pendant, or pair of earrings. You will leave with a unique piece of jewelry filled with memories of Bali, time shared with loved ones, and the knowledge that the most meaningful souvenirs are the ones into which you have poured a part of yourself.

What To Expect

You can book a private transfer from your hotel or villa or arrive on your own. The driver should wait for you at your hotel’s reception or near the villas. The cost of a private transfer can be confirmed with our team via the online chat on our website.

Main tour program

Upon arrival at the workshop, you will be welcomed by the team and introduced to the artisans who will guide you throughout the experience. Before the workshop begins, you will be offered a welcome drink and traditional Balinese snacks. Your instructor will then introduce the program, explain the safety procedures, demonstrate the tools you will be using, and share the basics of working with silver.

Next, you will choose the piece of jewelry you would like to create. You may select one of the available sample designs, sketch your own concept, or discuss your idea with the master artisan, who will help bring your vision to life. No previous silversmithing experience is required—you will receive guidance and support throughout every step of the process.

The main part of the workshop is dedicated to crafting your jewelry by hand. Under the guidance of an experienced master artisan, you will learn traditional silversmithing techniques and complete the key stages of the process yourself: melting the silver, creating an ingot or wire, shaping, cutting, soldering, sanding, polishing, and applying the final finishing touches.

Once your piece is complete, it will receive a final polish before being handed to you to take home. It will become not just a souvenir from Bali, but a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry created with your own hands.

During the workshop, you can create one piece of jewelry of your choice: a ring, pendant, earrings, charm, or any other design you would like to make.

Important Information:

  • the workshop includes 7 grams of silver; this amount is intended for one participant to create one piece of jewelry and cannot be shared between multiple participants;

  • if your chosen design requires more than 7 grams of silver, the additional material is available for an extra charge;

  • natural gemstones are not included in the workshop price and are available at an additional cost;

  • the workshop is suitable for both beginners and participants with no previous silversmithing experience;

  • every stage of the process is carried out under the guidance of an experienced master artisan, so no special skills or prior experience are required.

I'd been dreaming about a custom-designed ring for a long time. I even had my own sketch saved and always thought that one day I'd have it made. Then I came to Bali and accidentally discovered that here you can actually create your own piece of jewelry by hand. I knew right away that this was my chance. To be honest, it wasn't easy because I decided to make the ring based on my own design instead of choosing one of the ready-made options. But the silversmiths were incredibly supportive the whole time. They guided me through every step, gave advice, and patiently helped whenever I needed it. In the end, the ring didn't turn out exactly the way I'd imagined it, but somehow I think that's even better. Now, every time I look at it, I know exactly where I pressed a little too hard, where I hit the hammer slightly off, and where a tiny imperfection appeared. And that's exactly why it's so special to me. It's not just a piece of jewelry—it's something I truly made with my own hands. I don't think any ring from a store could ever mean as much to me as this one.

Our friends gave us this workshop as an anniversary gift, and I honestly can't imagine a better present. Instead of the usual dinner or another souvenir, we spent the whole day together, made matching silver rings with our own hands, and now we wear them with even more joy because we know how much love and effort went into making them. The workshop takes place in the village of Celuk, just a short drive from Ubud. Afterward, we headed into Ubud, had dinner at a beautiful restaurant, and it turned into the perfect romantic day. It was so special not just to spend time together, but to create something with our own hands. If you're looking for an unusual date or a truly memorable gift for someone you love, this is an absolutely perfect choice.
