What to expect

Day 1 — Arrival at the Airport, Check-in at the Hotel, and Wellness Consultation

Upon your arrival in Bali, your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Ubud—the island's cultural heart, renowned for its lush landscapes, ancient temples, and peaceful atmosphere.

You will check in at Adiwana Svarga Loka, a wellness retreat specializing in holistic healing and spiritual practices. After some time to rest from your journey, you will meet with a wellness specialist for an initial consultation. Together, you will create a personalized meal plan and receive individual recommendations tailored to your retreat program.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel before spending your first night surrounded by Ubud's tropical nature, gently easing into the days of relaxation, renewal, and discovery that lie ahead.

Day 2 — Consultation with a Balinese Healer and Shirodhara

The day begins with a light vegetarian breakfast, followed by yoga and meditation. These morning practices help restore inner balance, relax the body, and prepare you for the day ahead.

Next, you will have a private consultation with an experienced Balinese healer (balian). During the session, the healer will assess your condition, perform an aura cleansing and chakra balancing ritual, and offer personalized guidance to support your physical and emotional well-being.

Afterward, you will experience Shirodhara, one of Ayurveda's most renowned restorative treatments. During this deeply relaxing ritual, a continuous stream of warm oil is gently poured onto the forehead, helping to calm the mind, release tension, and promote profound relaxation. A traditional Balinese massage completes the morning's wellness experience.

After lunch at the hotel, you will have free time to relax, stroll through the peaceful grounds, or simply soak in the tranquil atmosphere of the retreat.

Dinner will be served at the hotel in the evening, followed by another restful night in Ubud.

Day 3 — Balinese Healing Ritual Melukat and Bori Making Workshop

After a wholesome breakfast and your morning yoga session, you will take part in Melukat, a traditional Balinese purification ritual led by a spiritual priest. One of the island's most revered ceremonies, it offers a unique opportunity to experience Bali's ancient spiritual traditions firsthand.

Next, you will join a workshop to prepare Boreh, a traditional Balinese herbal body scrub made from medicinal herbs and warming spices. The experience continues with a mantra massage, a relaxing herbal bath, and a serving of jamu—a traditional turmeric-based herbal tonic.

After a vegetarian lunch at the hotel, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace. If you wish, you may join the optional "Authentic Bali: Tour to the East" excursion (not included in the retreat price). This journey takes you to a spectacular cliff-carved temple complex, the beautiful Gembleng Waterfall with its natural infinity pool, the Samsara Museum, and the traditional village of Tenganan, where ancient crafts and centuries-old traditions continue to thrive.

Dinner will be served at the hotel in the evening.

Day 4 — Walk in Ubud, Offering Making, and Foot Reflexology

After a light breakfast at the hotel, you will set out on a walk through Ubud to discover one of Bali's most cherished traditions—daily canang sari offerings. Found throughout the island, these beautiful handmade offerings play an essential role in Balinese culture and spiritual life, and you will learn about their meaning and symbolism.

Following the walk, you will take part in a workshop on creating traditional offerings, discovering the craftsmanship and symbolism behind this ancient Balinese tradition.

After a short break, you will enjoy a relaxing foot reflexology treatment designed to stimulate pressure points connected to different systems of the body.

The day continues with a yoga session, followed by a nutritious lunch at the hotel. The afternoon is free for rest and relaxation before dinner is served in the evening.

Day 5 — Cleansing, Tour to Mengening Temple, and Balinese Coconut Massage

After breakfast and your morning yoga session, you will visit Mengening Temple, one of Bali's oldest sacred sites, whose name translates as "Clear Water." Surrounded by ancient holy springs, you will take part in a traditional Melukat purification ceremony that has been performed here for generations.

Following your temple visit, you will enjoy a traditional Balinese massage using natural coconut oil—the perfect way to unwind completely after the morning's experiences.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Wander through Ubud, visit landmarks such as Saraswati Temple with its picturesque lotus ponds, or simply soak up the town's unique atmosphere.

Return to the hotel for lunch. The afternoon is free for relaxation, personal practice, or leisurely walks before dinner is served in the evening.

Day 6 — Free Day

Today is entirely yours to enjoy as you wish. Take time to explore Ubud—the cultural heart of Bali—renowned for its art galleries, museums, charming cafés, artisan workshops, and atmospheric streets. Nature lovers can wander scenic trails through emerald rice terraces while taking in the island's lush tropical landscapes.

If you would like to discover more of Bali, you may book one of MyBaliTrip's optional excursions. Visit spectacular waterfalls, explore some of the island's most beautiful beaches, spend a relaxing day by the ocean, or uncover more of Bali's remarkable natural and cultural treasures.

Dinner will be served at the hotel in the evening.

Day 7 — Healing Bath

After breakfast and your morning yoga session, you will enjoy the retreat's final wellness ritual—a therapeutic herbal bath. Warm water infused with natural botanical extracts helps relax the body, restore vitality, and leave you feeling refreshed, while the fragrance of fresh flowers provides a beautiful conclusion to your wellness journey.

After lunch, enjoy some free time for one last stroll through Ubud. Browse artisan workshops and boutique stores filled with handmade crafts, relax with a cup of coffee at a cozy local café, or simply enjoy the charm of this unique town one last time.

In the evening, you will gather for a farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 — Return Home

Today we say goodbye. Enjoy your last Balinese breakfast and practice yoga. You will have time to pack and relax before your journey. After a hearty and delicious lunch, you will be taken to the airport according to your flight schedule.

We look forward to seeing you again on the island of a thousand temples!

From the moment we landed, everything about our Bali retreat at Ubud was a dream. The driver was already waiting for us at the airport, making the start smooth and stress-free. The Adiwana Svarga Loka hotel was beyond expectations with its serene energy, perfect for relaxation and reflection. Participating in yoga and meditation every morning was revitalizing and set a positive tone for the rest of the day. The Balinese Shirodhara massage was unlike anything I've experienced before—truly transformative! Highly recommend this for anyone looking to reconnect with themselves and nature.

Retreat tour "In a paradise of silence"

The whole retreat was excellent, although there were a few schedule delays that were slightly disappointing. However, this did not mar the overall impression. First-class organization and caring staff made up for the minor inconveniences. The Shirodhara massage is something incredible, and making the traditional scrub was fascinating. The scenery surrounding the hotel is simply breathtaking! If not for the delays, the rating would be a point higher.
