What To Expect
Day 1
Day 1: Bali to Ijen Volcano
Morning Transfer:
- At 8:00 A.M, a driver from Go Adventure will pick you up from your hotel or villa.
- Enjoy a scenic drive through Bali’s stunning landscapes, including beaches, rice paddies, and the West Coast National Park.
- Arrive at Gilimanuk ferry terminal after about 4 hours.
- The ferry ride to Banyuwangi, East Java takes about an hour.
Lunch and Djawatan Benculuk Forest:
- Stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Ketapang village.
- By 3:00 P.M, explore the enchanting Djawatan Benculuk forest, famous for its giant tamarind trees covered in thick moss. Feel like a character from a fantasy novel as you take amazing photos.
Evening:
- Arrive at your hotel near Ijen Volcano by 5:00 P.M. Check in and rest after the day’s journey.
Day 2: Ijen Volcano Sunrise and Waterfalls
Early Morning Ascent:
- Depart from the hotel around 12:30 A.M - 1:00 A.M. and arrive at Ijen National Park.
- Meet your professional, English-speaking guide who will provide gas masks and flashlights.
- Begin the trek at 02:00 A.M, reaching the volcano crater in about 1.5 hours.
Ijen Crater Experience:
- Witness the large sulfur deposit mined by local workers carrying heavy baskets.
- Enjoy the breathtaking sunrise at 2,386 meters above sea level, with panoramic views of the emerald acid lake and surreal landscapes.
Jagir Waterfalls:
- Descend the volcano and head to the Jagir Falls, also known as the Waterfall of Angels.
- Swim in crystal clear waters and capture stunning photos.
Late Morning Return:
- Return to the hotel by 11:00 A.M for breakfast and relaxation.
- Begin your journey back to Bali, including the ferry ride, taking about 5-6 hours.
Important information
- According to the new requirements for visiting the Ijen volcano, all tourists must check their blood pressure and obtain medical certificate. There will be a short stop at a hospital on the way to the volcano. This won't take much time.
- Access to Ijen Crater is restricted to 500 meters from the sulfur source, marked by the red flag. The descent to the lake is hazardous and not recommended. The tour operator assumes no responsibility for any risks taken.
- MyBaliTrips.com is not responsible for weather conditions on the ascent day.
- Temperatures at the top of Ijen can drop to +7 - +3 degrees. Bring warm clothing.
- Return the mask and flashlight to the guide after the climb to avoid a fine.
- Ijen volcano tickets are not included and must be paid in cash at the park entrance (100,000 IDR weekdays, 150,000 IDR weekends).
- Climbing Ijen is not recommended for individuals with respiratory diseases, pregnant women, or those with heart conditions.

Cancellation Policy
- We give a refund for the service retaining 10% of the payment amount, if the customer makes the cancellation at least 48 hours before the event starts or if there is an official document from the hospital.
- Refunds are made at the exchange rate set by the Bank of Indonesia on the day of payment.
- We give a full refund in case the provider can't render the service.
- We review the issue of a refund up to 5 calendar days from the date of costumer's application.
- We provide a refund within 14 calendar days from the date of costumer's application.

Please note:
- the height of the volcano is 2799 meters
- the average time of ascent and descent is about 6-7 hours
- children over the age of 12 under the responsibility of parents
- for people with average and good physical abilities
- if necessary, on site you can buy / rent warm clothes (jackets, pants, hats)
- It is recommended to have personal travel insurance
