What To Expect
Transfer, provided by Maps Bali Tour company, arrives at a scheduled time at the hotel or villa and takes you to the northern part of Bali. First you go to the ancient Hindu temple Taman Ayun, located in the area of Mengwi. This is the second biggest temple in Bali after Pura Besakih. Its name means «wonderful garden», which is true, there are a lot of beautiful flowers on the territory, and also several ponds with blooming lotus.
Then you go to Leke Leke waterfall. The place around is beautiful and well maintained. Nice small bridges and paths lead to the waterfall among tropical trees and flowers. The way down to the waterfall takes 20 minutes; the road goes through the gardens and plantations of tropical fruit plants. This is a perfect place to take pictures for Instagram, also there are special photo points here. The waterfall itself looks like silver satin-like canvas, the most amazing view you can get in the daytime. There is also a small cave hidden behind the water streams. After this sight you go further into the north of Bali with a stop to have lunch in the café with the view on lake Bratan.
Waterfalls Aling-Aling and GitGit, the main treasures of the northern part of the island, await you. The first one is also called «the twins», the water streams from 30 meter height and splits into two flows. You can see it well from the viewpoint. On the way to the waterfall you can feel yourself as a brave explorer of the lost world, and also you can check there, how brave you are and jump from the 5 or 10 meter height of the waterfall, or take a ride on the slide in the waterpark in the heart of the jungle. GitGit is a system of several waterfalls of the course of the river with the same name. It's located at a distance from each other, so you are going to have an amazing journey through the tropical woods. You go over tiny paths and bridges that connect all these cascade waterfalls, and enjoy the beauty and special atmosphere of this place.
