Transfer to Ijen Volcano
Kuta Meeting Point: Arrive at McDonald's Kuta parking lot by 06:45 PM. The transfer vehicle departs promptly at 07:00 PM.
Denpasar Meeting Point: Arrive at McDonald's Denpasar by 07:45 PM. The transfer vehicle departs promptly at 08:00 PM. Attention! If guests require an additional pickup point in the northwest area, this must be communicated to the manager at the time of booking. Otherwise, the vehicle will only collect guests from the primary meeting point.
Trekking Ijen Volcano
Depart at 08:15 P.M. for Gilimanuk Harbor in Bali's northwest, with a 3-4 hour journey depending on traffic. During the journey, a stop is planned where you can grab a bite at a café and take a break. Enjoy a scenic one-hour ferry ride to Java Island, followed by an hour's drive to the volcano from Banyuwangi Harbor.
Trekking Ijen Volcano
Start your trek at 02:00 A.M., equipped with masks and lights provided by your English-speaking guide.
If you're lucky with the weather, take photos of the blue flames. Please note the descent to the lake is now closed due to increased seismic activity, in addition that the descent into the crater to the lake is not equipped for safe descent and ascent. We strongly advise against attempting to go down into the crater. Otherwise, the tour organizer is not responsible for any potential consequences. You can capture footage of the workers carrying baskets of sulfur from the crater in any weather! Witness a stunning sunrise at the summit before descending to the base of Ijen.
Return transfer
Arrive at the parking area around 08:00 A.M. for your return journey, with a breakfast break (additional cost) along the way. Head back to Banyuwangi Harbor for your journey back to Bali, arriving around 01:00 P.M.
Expect to reach McDonald's Denpasar by 06:00 PM and McDonald's Kuta by 7:00 PM,
Important information:
According to the new requirements for visiting the Ijen volcano, all tourists must check their blood pressure and obtain medical certificate. Therefore, there will be a short stop at a hospital on the way to the volcano. This won't take much time.
Access to Ijen Crater is restricted to 500 meters from the sulfur source, marked by the red flag. The descent to the lake is hazardous and not recommended. The tour operator assumes no responsibility for any risks taken.
Return the mask and flashlight after climbing, or face a fine of 50,000 idr per item.
Climbing Ijen is not recommended for individuals with respiratory diseases, pregnant women, or those with heart conditions.
