What To Expect

  • Day 1. Cruise Departure from Sorong Port to the Waigeo Area

Your adventure begins with a transfer from your hotel or the airport to the ferry station

      • Transfer Details: Our driver will meet you at Sorong Airport (SOQ) at 8:00 AM. If you need a hotel transfer, please be ready in the lobby between 7:30–8:00 AM. We’ll then head to Sorong Port, where you’ll board your boat.
      • Onboard Welcome: Once on La Galigo, enjoy a welcome drink, settle into your cabins, and receive a briefing.
      • Afternoon: After lunch, relax and take in the stunning surroundings as we sail to the registration point.
      • First Dive: We’ll complete entry formalities and head to our first dive spot at Saonek Kecil Island. The calm waters here are perfect for your first dive, offering lush and colorful coral reefs teeming with marine life—soft corals, sponges, fan corals, clownfish, lionfish, butterflyfish, and angelfish. You may also encounter rays, moray eels, and even sharks.
      • Post-Dive: Enjoy a light snack after your dive
      • Evening: Free time followed by dinner.

  • Day 2. Dampier Strait – Kri Area

In the central Dampier Strait, we'll aim for four dives under ideal conditions.

      • Morning Dive: Start your day at Blue Magic, where you can encounter manta rays and large pelagic fish like Spanish mackerel and bigeye trevally. After the dive, enjoy breakfast.
      • Midday Dive: Head to Chicken Reef, where you’ll witness sailfish, barracudas, groupers, and snappers putting on a mesmerizing display. Hundreds of fish moving in unison, along with reef sharks, rays, and turtles, make this a dive to remember
      • Lunch and Afternoon Dive: After lunch, dive at Cape Kri, home to over 374 species of fish in a single dive, including barracudas, sharks, and turtles. A snack will be provided post-dive.
      • Night Dive: At sunset, admire the fiery skies over Waigeo and Gam islands before a night dive at Yenbuba Village’s Jetty on Kri’s southern coast. Here, observe the fascinating nocturnal activity of octopuses, squids, and bioluminescent shrimp.
      • Evening: End the day with dinner and relaxation

  • Day 3. Pianemo

On the third day, we'll aim for three dives at different spots and hike to the top of Pianemo for the most iconic view of Raja Ampat.

      • Morning Dive: Start at Melissa’s Garden, a stunning site with a variety of corals and fish on a small oval reef with hard coral gardens. Expect to see colorful reef fish like clownfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, and snappers. After the dive, enjoy breakfast.
      • Midday Dive: Next, we head to Keruo Channel Dive Site for a smooth drift dive down a mini-wall and slope at the edge of Keruo Island. Strong currents bring in large pelagic fish like tuna, barracudas, and blacktip reef sharks. Afterward, we’ll have lunch
      • Afternoon Dive: The third dive is at Batu Rufus, featuring a dramatic 40-meter wall plunging into the deep blue. Descend along a scenic reef adorned with diverse corals and sponges, where moray eels, rays, and even sharks can be spotted.
      • Scenic Hike: After a quick snack, we’ll hike to the Pianemo viewpoint for breathtaking views of karst peaks bathed in the golden light of the setting sun.
      • Evening: End the day with dinner and relaxation.

  • Day 4. Wayag Island

Today, explore the most iconic spot in the archipelago—Wayag’s limestone islands. Here, you’ll find the world’s first manta ray nursery, pristine beaches with soft white sand, and turquoise waters. There’s a good chance to see manta rays and relax with juvenile blacktip sharks in the shallow waters

      • Early Morning: Wake up early to watch the sunrise at the equator as we sail through the limestone formations of Wayag Island.
      • Morning Dive: After a hike, if conditions allow, dive at Wayag Corner, a manta cleaning station where these majestic creatures often visit for their “spa treatments.” You might just catch a glimpse of them
      • Breakfast and Next Dive: After breakfast, we’ll head to the western end of the lagoon. Depending on the conditions, we’ll dive at one of these spots: Ridge Rock, Two Hump Rock, or Figure 8 Rock. Each site offers unique underwater features, from strong currents attracting pelagic fish and sharks to tunnels and canyons filled with vibrant corals and barracudas
      • Lunch and Afternoon: While you enjoy lunch, the boat will move to the eastern part of Wayag.
      • Visit to Ranger Station: We’ll take a short trip to the Wayag Ranger Station, where blacktip reef sharks are bred. Relax on the beach with baby sharks in the shallow waters under the rangers’ supervision. A snack will be provided afterward
      • Night Dive: If conditions are favorable, we’ll have a night dive in the eastern Wayag area
      • Evening: End the day with dinner and relaxation.

  • Day 5. Kave Island and Alyui Bay

We'll journey to Kave Island, located right on the equator.

      • Morning Dive: After breakfast, dive at the vibrant Black Rock coral reef. The lush and diverse corals here attract large schools of snappers and groupers. Turtles and rays are common sightings
      • Lunch and Afternoon Dive: After lunch, dive at Eagle Rock, renowned for its majestic manta rays that glide around underwater pinnacles like eagles in the sky. The landscape features massive coral platforms, rocks, and steep walls adorned with sponges and corals, creating a stunning backdrop for these giants.
      • Snack and Sunset: Arrive in Alyui Bay around 4:00 PM to enjoy the sunset.
      • Night Dive: Dive at Cendana Pearl Farm Jetty, the best night diving spot in Raja Ampat. Here, nocturnal creatures like octopuses, cuttlefish, and moray eels hunt in the dark, their natural bioluminescence adding a magical glow to the experience
      • Evening: Dinner and relaxation

  • Day 6. Gam Island and Western Dampier Strait

Wake up near Gam Island for a few dives and an excursion to Arborek Island. This area offers vibrant reefs teeming with fish and incredible macro photography opportunities.
