In Harmony with Yourself — Three Days of Stillness and Renewal

Retreat
With hotel

Some trips ask nothing of you. This three-day retreat in the heart of Ubud was built for exactly that: three days kept entirely for yourself, without needing to take weeks away.

You'll stay at Adiwana Resort Jembawan, a luxury hotel folded into the emerald jungle. Balinese practitioners guide you through each ritual — a warming Boreh spice scrub, a flower bath sung over by birds, and a medicinal herbal soak called Snana that pulls tension from the body and leaves it light. Morning yoga and meditation do the same for the mind.

Then the deeper work: Abhyanga, an oil massage that moves through the whole body slowly and deliberately. And Shirodhara — a continuous stream of warm oil poured onto the forehead, producing a stillness that is hard to describe and easy to feel.

Herbal peels and a traditional facial restore the skin. By the end, the eyes are clearer, the shoulders lower.

No rush, no demands. Days designed to let you stop performing and simply be.

What to expect

Day 1 — Arrival and the Boreh Ritual

You travel to Ubud — rice terraces, calm air, a different pace. After settling into Adiwana Resort Jembawan, a personal consultation tailors the programme to how you're feeling. The afternoon brings the Boreh ritual: traditional Balinese massage, a warming spice-and-herb scrub, and a flower bath ending with a moisturising treatment. The evening closes with the Snana herbal bath — roots and bark steeped into something medicinal — followed by dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 2 — Yoga, Oil Therapy and Shirodhara

The morning opens with yoga and meditation. After breakfast, the main programme: Abhyanga (a full-body warm oil massage to release tension and restore circulation), a Balinese herbal scrub, and Shirodhara — head and face massage followed by a slow, continuous pour of warm oil across the forehead. Free time from 14:00 to 15:00 to rest at the hotel or walk the lanes and temples of Ubud. Dinner at the retreat restaurant.

Day 3 — Yoga and the Facial Ritual

A final morning of yoga, then a traditional Balinese breakfast. The day's programme focuses on the skin: a gentle cleansing milk and herbal peel, a massage mask working through the face, neck and shoulders, then steam therapy to open and clear the pores, ending with a nourishing cream. Time to pack, a full lunch, and then a private transfer to the airport or your next destination.

Please note:

  • You have the option to discuss and modify the procedures and duration of your stay with the management on-site.

Three days of silence and renewal at Adiwana Resort Jembawan
Adiwana Resort Jembawan
My wellness retreat at Adiwana Resort Jembawan in Ubud was magical! The Balinese Bore ritual was my highlight, leaving me utterly rejuvenated. The Snana bath was equally amazing, a purification gift to my body. Every day started with yoga and a delicious Balinese breakfast, setting a perfect tone. The health consultation offered such personalized care that I felt entirely catered to. Highly recommend this sanctuary of peace!

Three days of silence and renewal at Adiwana Resort Jembawan
Adiwana Resort Jembawan
We began our journey with a warm welcome from our driver at the airport. The accommodation at Adiwana Resort Jembawan was superb, and the personalized approach to our well-being was impressive. However, throughout the three days, we found the procedures a bit repetitive. I wished for more varied experiences. Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed the stunning views of the rice terraces and the tranquility in Ubud.
