Taman Ujung Palace

One of the most beautiful palace complexes in Bali, located in the eastern part of the island. Taman Ujung, or the Water Palace, was built in the early 20th century for Balinese kings and combines traditional Balinese, Chinese, and European architecture. The palace was twice destroyed by natural disasters. In 1963, it survived the eruption of Mount Agung, when hot ash fell on the buildings and park. In 1979, a major earthquake occurred. The complex is surrounded by cascading ponds, elegant bridges, and picturesque gardens, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and grandeur. Due to its remote location, it attracts those who want to see the island's historical heritage without the tourist crowds.
