Planning a trip to Bali often becomes overwhelming. The "Robinson’s Escape" tour is designed to remove that friction, replacing endless coordination with a structured 11-day immersion into the island’s varied landscapes. This is not about rushing; it is about maximizing exposure to Bali's geography—from the tiered Tegalalang rice fields and jungle coffee plantations to the limestone precipices of Nusa Penida .

The itinerary balances high-sensory experiences—ATV racing through the mud and tunnels of the Tabanan interior—with quiet, unscripted moments in coastal cafes. On Nusa Penida, the geography is visceral: the sheer drop of Kelingking Beach, natural tidal pools, and the Tree House overlooking the surf. Beneath the surface, the focus shifts to the marine life of the Indian Ocean, where snorkeling sessions involve coral gardens, sea turtles, and giant manta rays. Accommodations are restricted to vetted 4 and 5-star properties, ensuring that downtime in spa zones and infinity pools remains as central to the experience as the exploration itself.

What to expect

Day 1: Arrival and Jungle Silence

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at the airport. From there, a private transfer will take you away from the bustle of the city to Ubud—the cultural heart of Bali.

Your home for the next few days will be Ayung Resort Ubud, nestled on the banks of the Ayung River, the island's longest and most iconic river. Here, the sounds of the city give way to the gentle murmur of the rainforest and the flowing river below. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink and seasonal fruit before settling into your Deluxe Room.

The rest of the day is devoted to easing into Bali's slower pace of life. After your flight, there is no better place to unwind than the infinity pool overlooking the lush river valley. Watch the sunset from the water and let the peaceful atmosphere of the jungle prepare you for the days ahead.

Day 2: The Ubud Rhythm

After breakfast, a private transfer will take you to the center of Ubud, widely regarded as the cultural and spiritual heart of Bali. Here, the island's traditions come to life in everyday scenes—from colorful temple ceremonies to women gracefully carrying offering baskets on their heads.

Here are a few ideas for how to spend your day:

  • Explore lively markets and artisan streets, where you'll find handcrafted jewelry, home décor, and locally made souvenirs.

  • Settle into one of Ubud's charming cafés and watch daily life unfold around you.

  • Experience the unique atmosphere of a town that has long attracted travelers seeking inspiration, creativity, and well-being.

  • Stroll along scenic footpaths winding through emerald-green rice terraces.

  • Visit some of Bali's finest museums. Ubud is renowned for its artistic heritage, and places such as the Blanco Renaissance Museum and Museum Puri Lukisan provide fascinating insight into Balinese art and culture.

A quiet evening and an early night are recommended. Tomorrow marks the beginning of the more adventurous part of your journey as you head into Bali's mountainous interior, where dramatic landscapes and unforgettable experiences await.

Day 3: The Visual Symbols of the Island

Today is all about breathtaking scenery and the iconic locations that inspire travelers to fly halfway around the world. We've brought together Bali's most photogenic landmarks into one carefully planned route, allowing you to enjoy the experience without having to think about logistics.

Today's highlights:

Sacred Monkey Forest
Begin the day with a walk beneath towering banyan trees and among centuries-old temples, where nature and architecture blend seamlessly together.

Tegallalang Rice Terraces & Jungle Swing
Admire Bali's famous tiered rice terraces before soaring above the jungle on a swing—one of the island's most unforgettable experiences.

The Magic of Waterfalls
Visit two waterfalls, each with its own unique character. Tegenungan impresses with its powerful cascade and panoramic setting, while Kanto Lampo enchants with its layered rock formations, where you can step into the flowing water for spectacular photographs.

Coffee Plantation & Lunch
Enjoy lunch overlooking the lush jungle, followed by a tasting of Bali's famous locally grown coffee.

By the end of the day, your camera roll will be filled with images that hardly need any editing. Return to the hotel inspired by the island's remarkable beauty and unforgettable landscapes.

Day 4: Adrenaline and Hidden Tracks

Today, it's time to trade a leisurely pace for pure adrenaline as you head deep into Bali's interior on powerful ATVs. This is one of the best ways to discover the island's wild landscapes beyond the usual tourist routes.

The trail winds through dense tropical jungle and traditional rice fields, with every turn revealing a new side of Bali's natural beauty. Along the way, you'll ride through mysterious stone caves and natural tunnels, making the journey feel like a true off-road adventure. The route ends at a hidden waterfall deep in the forest, where you can cool off after an exhilarating ride.

Expect speed, mud, and plenty of excitement—this is an authentic adventure rather than simply another sightseeing stop. Afterwards, you'll return to the hotel to relax and relive the day's highlights.

Day 5: Ubud — Final Impressions

Today is your final day in Ubud, giving you complete freedom to enjoy it exactly as you wish. The town is best experienced without rushing, so choose whatever suits your mood.

Here are a few ideas:

Morning yoga
The hotel's yoga pavilions overlook the river valley, creating the perfect setting for a peaceful practice. Even beginners often find it an unforgettable experience.

Explore what you missed
Perhaps there was an art gallery you wanted to revisit, a handcrafted souvenir you meant to buy, or a café you never had the chance to try.

Discover more of Ubud
If you're still in the mood to explore, our team can easily arrange a driver or private transfer to any destination around town.

Simply relax
Sleep in, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, spend time by the infinity pool, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere overlooking the Ayung River.

Accommodation: Ayung Resort Ubud 5* Deluxe Room Pool View

Day 6: West Nusa Penida — The Scale of Water

Today you'll leave Bali for nearby Nusa Penida, just a 40-minute speedboat ride away. Famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs, turquoise waters, and spectacular viewpoints, the island has become one of Indonesia's most iconic destinations.

Today's route explores the island's western coastline. You'll visit the famous Kelingking Beach, admire the natural rock arch of Broken Beach, and stop at Angel's Billabong, a remarkable natural infinity pool carved into the coastline. As swimming conditions at Angel's Billabong depend on the tides, time to swim is planned at Crystal Bay instead.

The day ends at Semabu Hills Hotel, beautifully perched above the coastline with panoramic views of the sea and Mount Agung. After check-in, unwind at the spa or relax beside the infinity pool with a refreshing coconut.

Day 8: Mantas and Turtles — The Return to Bali

Your day begins early with breakfast before transferring to the harbor to board your snorkeling boat.

The waters surrounding Nusa Penida are among the world's best places to encounter majestic manta rays. One of the main snorkeling locations is usually Manta Point, where these graceful giants gather to feed. In the clear water, you'll have an excellent chance to observe them gliding effortlessly above the reef.

The excursion also includes vibrant coral gardens filled with tropical fish, while sea turtles are frequently spotted swimming peacefully among the reefs or surfacing for air. Several snorkeling stops are planned throughout the morning.

After returning to shore, you'll board the speedboat back to Bali. From the harbor, a private transfer will take you to Nusa Dua, Bali's premier beach resort known for its luxury hotels, wide sandy beaches, and calm waters. Upon arrival, you'll check in at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa.

Accommodation: Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa, Bali 5* Deluxe Room

Day 9: Coastal Recovery

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace in the relaxed atmosphere of Nusa Dua.

Known for its wide sandy beaches and calm, crystal-clear waters, this part of Bali is perfect for a leisurely day by the sea. Spend the morning on the beach, take a stroll along the waterfront, or simply unwind with a fresh coconut at one of the beachfront cafés.

Within walking distance of the hotel, you'll find Bali Collection, an open-air shopping and dining complex with boutiques, restaurants, and cafés. Nearby tropical gardens provide pleasant walking paths, while several local surf schools offer beginner-friendly lessons. If you'd like to book a surfing session, our team will be happy to assist.

Spend the day exactly as you wish and enjoy your final moments by the ocean.

Day 10: Bukit Peninsula and Final Rest

Your tenth day is a final opportunity to enjoy Bali at your own pace. Begin the morning with some well-deserved relaxation in the hotel's wellness facilities. Yoga studios, a gym, and a sauna are available, allowing you to ease into the day without alarms or a fixed schedule. It's also the perfect time to browse local boutiques and pick up a few souvenirs to remember your journey.

If you would like to explore more of the island, we can arrange a transfer to the Bukit Peninsula. Located at Bali's southern tip, Bukit is known for its spectacular coastline, where hidden coves alternate with wide sandy beaches. The peninsula's most iconic landmark is the ancient Uluwatu Temple, dramatically perched on a 70-meter cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean and inhabited by its famous monkeys.

If you wish, our team can also help you book optional activities, including tickets to the famous Kecak Fire Dance performance, held at sunset beside Uluwatu Temple.

11-Day Bali Tour: Ubud, Nusa Penida & Manta Ray Snorkeling

My friend and I were coming to Asia for the first time and pretty quickly realized there was no way we’d manage to explore Bali properly on our own. Neither of us drives a scooter, the island is huge, and we wanted to see literally everything — rice terraces, waterfalls, Nusa Penida, the ocean, and still have time to actually relax. So we decided to book the Robinson Escape tour. And honestly this turned out to be exactly the right format for us. We managed to see so much that on our own we probably would’ve missed half of it. My favorite parts were Tegallalang, Kanto Lampo waterfall, Kelingking Beach on Nusa Penida and snorkeling with manta rays. Even the ATV ride ended up being way more fun than I expected, even though I was nervous about it at first. I really liked not having to think about transfers, hotels or tickets, everything was already arranged and we could just enjoy the trip. For a first time in Bali, honestly perfect.

11-Day Bali Tour: Ubud, Nusa Penida & Manta Ray Snorkeling

My husband and I had dreamed of going to Bali for a long time, but somehow we kept putting it off. And now we finally made it happen. To be honest, at this point we really didn’t feel like figuring out routes, transfers, tickets and all the logistics by ourselves. Maybe when we were younger it would’ve been fun to plan everything on our own and spontaneously go wherever we wanted, but this time we just wanted a proper relaxing vacation. So this kind of tour ended up being exactly what we needed. Everything was organized in advance, we were picked up everywhere, and there was no need to think about how to get to the next place or plan anything ourselves. Sure, sometimes we caught ourselves thinking that we no longer have that same youthful energy when you can jump on a scooter and just go wherever. But for a comfortable holiday where you really want to relax and not worry about anything, it was honestly perfect. And I have to say, I completely fell in love with Ubud. I think that was exactly how I had always imagined the real Bali.

11-Day Bali Tour: Ubud, Nusa Penida & Manta Ray Snorkeling

We were in Bali for the first time and were thinking about what to do when we stumbled upon mybalitrips.com. A magnificent tour! We visited many beautiful places. From rice terraces and temples to beaches and monkey parks. We also absolutely loved ATV riding in a tropical rain. (It just so happened) The team was in contact every day and always helped with arising questions. The guides are great guys, especially I want to mention Eni, with whom we spent our third day on the island as part of the 'Instagram tour'. A wonderful person and a professional. Unfortunately, we got a bit sick towards the end of the trip, but it didn't spoil the impression. We experienced a whole range of emotions from the trip, both positive and negative, but the tour operator is not to blame for this. We will definitely come again.

11-Day Bali Tour: Ubud, Nusa Penida & Manta Ray Snorkeling

Our trip to Bali was nothing short of magical! From the moment we were picked up at the airport to our stay at the luxurious Ayung Resort, everything was perfectly organized. The view of the Balinese jungle from our deluxe room was breathtaking. We absolutely loved the whole day visiting the rice terraces, the monkey forest, and the waterfalls. The highlight was undoubtedly snorkeling with the majestic manta rays. Highly recommend this tour for anyone seeking an unforgettable experience in Bali!
