Monkey Forest

In Balinese culture, monkeys are considered sacred animals. Their images can be seen on ancient temples, in wood carvings, and artworks, reflecting their significance and reverence among the locals.
The Monkey Forest is located in the heart of the island, in Ubud, and is one of Bali's main natural attractions. Here, amidst dense jungles and ancient temples, hundreds of monkeys live, freely roaming around the area. In the sanctuary, you can stroll along winding paths, observe the lives of primates in their natural environment, and take stunning photographs.
However, you should be extremely careful — the monkeys are curious and don't mind peeking into a bag or stealing something shiny. It's best to keep valuables with you.
