Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

Near the center of Bali, at the foot of Mount Batukaru, the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces stretch over more than 300 hectares. This is a living monument to human labor. These are the island's largest terraces, listed as a UNESCO heritage site. Rice is cultivated here manually: seedlings are planted on the fields several times a year, and the harvest is collected after 3-6 months. Unlike the more popular Tegallalang terraces, there are fewer tourists here, and the panoramic views are even more breathtaking. The terrace area is vast, but getting lost is impossible thanks to the system of well-maintained paths, bridges, and signs. There are several walking routes of different lengths, so everyone can choose the most comfortable one for themselves.
