Yacht Tour through Komodo – Sumbawa – Lombok on Alfathran 3 Suave Boat

Lombok
Komodo
Sumbawa

The Komodo Archipelago and the whale sharks of Saleh Bay are two of the most sought-after experiences in this part of Indonesia. Many travelers find themselves choosing between Komodo National Park and a whale shark encounter, but this route allows you to experience both within a single journey.

Over four days, you will visit the most iconic locations of Komodo National Park, including Padar Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point, and Komodo Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. The route then continues to Saleh Bay, where an early morning snorkeling session offers the chance to swim alongside whale sharks in their natural habitat.

One of the main advantages of this itinerary is that it combines a cruise with a practical island-to-island transfer. If your trip starts in Lombok, you can sail all the way to Komodo. If your plans continue after Komodo, you can choose the reverse route back to Lombok. Instead of spending additional time and money returning the way you came, the journey itself becomes part of the adventure.

Few routes in Indonesia bring together so many of the country's most famous natural attractions in just a few days: Komodo dragons, manta rays, whale sharks, the panoramic viewpoint of Padar Island, and dozens of remote islands scattered between Lombok and Flores.

Open trip Komodo – Lombok Islands by "Alfathran 3 Suave" boat — SENGGIGI ROOM: Upper deck, private balcony, private bathroom, sea view
Komodo tours

I went on this cruise with my 15-year-old son and, to be honest, I was worried he might get bored spending four days on a boat. Turns out I had nothing to worry about 😄 The whale sharks and Komodo dragons probably impressed him more than anything else during our trip around Indonesia. Every evening he was rewatching videos and sending them to his friends. I also loved how well everything was organized. We didn't have to think about anything at all — where to go, what to do next, how to get somewhere. We could simply relax and enjoy the experience. Seeing the whale sharks at sunrise ended up being one of the highlights of our entire vacation. I'm so glad we chose this trip.

My friend and I booked this trip mainly because we wanted to see Komodo and whale sharks, and we honestly didn't regret it for a second. Everything was just wow 😍 The whale sharks were definitely the highlight. I was so nervous about getting into the water at first because they're HUGE. But after a couple of minutes, I didn't want to get out anymore. They're so calm and beautiful. The whole route was amazing too. I don't think I've seen so many beautiful places in one trip before. And a special thanks for the organization — we didn't have to think about anything, we could just enjoy ourselves. After the trip, we spent weeks showing everyone our photos and telling them we'd swum next to a fish almost the size of a bus
