Gitgit Waterfall

Gitgit Waterfall

Gitgit Waterfall — one of the most famous and easily accessible waterfalls in Bali, located in the mountainous region of the northern part of the island, near the town of Singaraja. Its height reaches about 35 meters, and water plunges rapidly from a cliff into a cool, crystal-clear river surrounded by dense tropical foliage.
The path to the waterfall follows a well-maintained trail through the jungle, passing by coffee and clove trees, as well as traditional Balinese stalls where you can buy local crafts. The walk takes about 15–20 minutes and does not require special physical fitness, making Gitgit popular among families and beginner travelers.
The waterfall itself is a picturesque and refreshing spot, especially pleasant for swimming or simply relaxing in the shade of trees while listening to the falling water. Monkeys are often seen around, and the air is filled with scents of damp leaves and fragrant plants.
Local residents consider Gitgit Waterfall a place of power and purification. Some believe that the water here has healing properties. It’s an excellent place to experience Bali’s vibrant nature, take beautiful photos, and enjoy coolness on a hot day.
