What to expect

Day 1 — Manta Rays, Taka Makassar Sandbar & Sunset on Padar Island

In the morning, your driver will pick you up from your hotel or meet you at Labuan Bajo Airport and take you to the harbor. After boarding the yacht at around 09:00, your journey through Komodo National Park begins.

Your first stop is the famous Manta Point, where you'll have the opportunity to snorkel with majestic manta rays. Afterward, lunch will be served on board before continuing to the stunning Taka Makassar sandbar, renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters.

In the afternoon, the yacht sails toward Padar Island. Here, you'll hike to one of Indonesia's most iconic viewpoints, where breathtaking panoramic views stretch across several bays. After returning to the yacht, enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening on board.

Day 2 — Pink Beach, Komodo Dragons & Flying Foxes

After breakfast, the yacht heads to the famous Pink Beach, one of Indonesia's most beautiful pink-sand beaches. You'll have time to relax, swim, and snorkel among colorful coral reefs.

Next, you'll join a guided walk across Komodo Island accompanied by a local park ranger, where you'll have the chance to observe the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat.

Following lunch, you'll continue to Mawan Island for another snorkeling session before sailing toward Kalong Island in the late afternoon. At sunset, thousands of flying foxes fill the sky as they leave the island in search of food, creating one of the most spectacular natural sights in the Komodo Archipelago. Dinner will be served on board afterward.

Day 3 — Kelor Island & Return to Labuan Bajo

After breakfast, you'll disembark on Kelor Island for a short hike to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the surrounding islands and turquoise waters.

After returning to the yacht, an early lunch will be served as you sail back to Labuan Bajo.

Approximate arrival schedule:

  • Around 11:30 — Arrival at the harbor

  • Around 12:00 — Transfer to the airport or your hotel

Important information:

  • crossing times may vary depending on weather conditions and the vessel's actual sailing schedule;

  • in the event that a fuel surcharge is introduced, the company reserves the right to apply it to both new and existing bookings, regardless of whether the trip has been paid in full at the time of the fuel price adjustment;

  • any additional fuel surcharge is not included in the standard cruise fare and must be paid separately;

  • In accordance with clause 7.3 of the user agreement, MyBaliTrips.com cannot be held responsible for the presence of manta rays during snorkeling. It is important to remember that the whale shark is a wild and free creature. They choose their own paths and timing, so every encounter is a matter of luck and a true gift from nature, rather than a guaranteed part of the itinerary;

  • depending on weather or other conditions, the tour program may be modified at the captain's discretion. The program will be equivalent in cost and interest.

  • due to current visitor limits at Komodo National Park, we recommend purchasing your entry tickets in advance. This helps ensure access to all locations included in your tour.

Open trip to Komodo by "Alfathran" boat

We've been to Bali several times already and felt like we'd seen almost everything the island has to offer. We'd been thinking about visiting Komodo for a long time. At first, we planned to fly to Flores on our own, but then we discovered these multi-day boat trips between the islands. It sounded much more unusual and exciting, so we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Spending several days at sea, waking up surrounded by islands, sailing from one place to another—you really do feel a bit like a sailor. I got a little seasick on the first day, but my body adjusted surprisingly quickly, and after that I was able to enjoy every moment of the trip. My favorite places were the Pink Beach and Taka Makassar. The pink sand looks even more beautiful in real life than in photos, and the water there is absolutely incredible. We took so many amazing pictures that it's now impossible to choose which ones to post. The whole trip was unbelievably photogenic, with stunning islands, turquoise water, beautiful sunsets, and breathtaking views every single day.

Open trip Komodo Islands by "Alfathran" boat

The boat is definitely not new, and that's obvious from the moment you step on board. If you're looking for something ultra-modern and luxurious, this probably isn't the right choice. But surprisingly, after just a few hours, you stop noticing it. The atmosphere on board is incredibly cozy, and the crew creates such a warm and welcoming environment that all the little imperfections simply fade into the background. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great time, and they do an amazing job. What I was most looking forward to were the islands and the snorkeling. I honestly thought visiting the Komodo dragons would be the least exciting part of the trip. I expected to see a few giant lizards lying around in the shade and then move on. But it turned out to be the complete opposite. We got incredibly lucky: the dragons were very active, constantly moving around, and while we were there, two of them even started mating right in front of us. I definitely wasn't expecting to witness that. In the end, seeing the Komodo dragons became one of the highlights of the entire trip.
