I thought I was already pretty good at riding enduro, so I was very optimistic when I chose this route. I thought, well, it’s just a forest, I’ll manage without too much trouble. In the end, it turned out to be one of the hardest routes I’ve ever done. I’m definitely not a super experienced rider, but I still expected it to be a little easier. There were plenty of moments when I really had to focus and figure out how to get through. Climbs, roots, mud, narrow sections, and I got properly stuck a few times. The team helped a lot. The guide was always there on the difficult sections, telling me how to approach them, and if I really couldn’t make it, he helped me get through. Having that support definitely made everything much easier. In just a few hours, I improved my skills a lot and realized what I still need to work on. I really enjoyed it, even though it was tough at times. I definitely want to come back one day as a more confident and experienced rider and see how much easier the same route feels the second time.
