Sumba remains one of Indonesia’s less-visited islands, known for its open landscapes, traditional villages, and quiet coastline. Roads pass through rolling hills, dry savannas, and small settlements where daily life continues at a slower pace.
The route includes the emerald waters of Weekuri Lagoon and the traditional village of Ratenggaro Village, known for its tall thatched-roof houses. You’ll also visit Lapopu Waterfall and the hills of Wairinding Hills, especially known for their changing colors at sunset.
The journey continues through the savannas of Purukambera Savanna, the pools of Tanggedu Waterfall, and mangrove areas along the coast. Sunrise viewpoints and evenings at Walakiri Beach complete the program, offering a different perspective on eastern Indonesia.
