Tours to Sumba Island

Sumba

Get ready for a 4-day adventure on the southernmost island of the Indonesian archipelago, the captivating Sumba! You'll have the chance to immerse yourself in exotic culture, savor unique cuisine, and be awestruck by the breathtaking natural beauty found nowhere else in the world.

This journey is a rollercoaster of emotions and thrilling experiences. On the first day, you'll explore the western part of the island, including a visit to a traditional village where you'll encounter towering thatched houses reaching up to 20 meters in height. You'll also make a stop at a beach renowned for its unusually colored, super soft sand, distinctive rock formations, and mesmerizing waves.

Day two is all about turquoise waters and vibrant marine life. You'll have the opportunity to snorkel in coral gardens just off the shore and unwind in wooden gazebos overlooking lush green hills. Your next destination is a shallow saltwater lake, formed by coastal rocks, teeming with colorful underwater creatures, and surrounded by monkeys perched in the treetops.

Following this, you'll embark on a walk through yet another traditional village, leading to a serene shady forest and a series of narrow wooden bridges that will lead you to a magnificent 90-meter waterfall. Its blue-green waters and natural pool provide the perfect setting for relaxation and stunning photography.

On day three, a chauffeur-driven car will transport you to the island's eastern side, where you'll explore the golden savanna hills with rounded peaks that stretch as far as the eye can see. After lunch, you'll discover a mesmerizing 3-level waterfall, nestled amidst tall brownish-green cliffs adorned with silky moss and refreshing cascades.

As the sun begins to set, you'll find yourself on the island's most famous beach, boasting pristine white sands and iconic mangrove trees with whimsical trunks emerging from the water, making them the symbol of East Sumba.

Before heading to the airport, your journey will culminate with a stop to witness the sunrise over a ridge of lush green hills fading into the ocean. We guarantee that this memorable trip will remain etched in your memory forever!
