Tukad Cepung Waterfall

Tukad Cepung Waterfall is one of the most unusual and magical natural spots in Bali, located near Bangli in the central part of the island. Unlike most waterfalls, Tukad Cepung is hidden inside a canyon, with its streams falling from above into a rocky crevice, creating the feeling that the water is pouring straight from the sky.
The path to the waterfall is a true mini-adventure: you need to walk along a tropical trail, descend steep stairs, and wade through a shallow stream between majestic cliffs. The reward is a breathtaking sight—sunbeams breaking through the opening at the top of the canyon illuminate the waterfall, creating a light show effect, especially in the morning hours (around 9–10 am).
Tukad Cepung has become popular among photographers and Instagram bloggers thanks to its “magical” atmosphere, but despite its fame, it still retains a sense of seclusion and tranquility, especially if you come early.
The place is considered sacred, and locals ask visitors to respect nature and the nearby temples. It’s an ideal spot for meditation, taking impressive photos, and experiencing the ancient natural beauty of Bali.
