What to expect
30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the «Semabu Hills» boat, you need to be at Sanur port. The boat departs at 07:30 AM. Upon arrival, you should find the company's office and register. After registration, keep your ticket in a safe place, as you will need it for the return registration.
The journey to Nusa Penida Island takes about 40 minutes. At the island port, you will be met by a driver holding a sign with «MyBaliTrips». Then, you will embark on a tour of the following natural attractions of Nusa Penida: Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel Billabong, Crystal Bay.
Around 2:30 PM, you will have lunch at the local Green Kubu restaurant, which offers Indonesian cuisine (lunch is not included in the price). After lunch, the driver will take you to your hotel, where you will check into your room and relax during sunset.
The next day at 8:00 AM, a transfer will pick you up for snorkeling. We recommend not eating much before snorkeling/diving. The snorkeling program usually includes 3-4 spots: Manta Bay, Crystal Bay, Gamat Bay, Toya Pakeh.
After swimming, you will return to the hotel to shower and collect your belongings. Guests are typically required to check out by 12:00 PM and wait for the transfer to the port at the hotel restaurant. Then, the transfer will take you to the port for the return boat to Bali. The «Semabu Hills» boat departs from Nusa Penida at 1:30 PM.
Important
You can add a private transfer from your hotel or villa in Bali to the port and back for the following areas: Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Ubud Centre. The cost of a private transfer is 600 000 Rp / auto.
For remote areas, the price should be confirmed with the manager online.
If you booked a private transfer, please note that the transfer is provided by an external service provider, and the driver will meet you strictly at the time specified in the tour program.
If you return earlier, the service provider is not responsible for the driver’s availability outside the agreed time. Cancellation of the transfer is regulated by the policy on the website. You can try to arrange a different time by contacting the driver of the transport company (the number is available in your account) at least 1.5–2 hours before arriving at the port of Bali.
You can also comfortably wait for your boat departure at «Maruti Beach Clubs», located just a 2-minute walk from the port.There is an option to descend to Kelingking Beach during this tour; however, if descending and ascending take more than 2 hours, you may not have time to visit other locations or may need to extend your driver’s rental on-site.
Swimming at Diamond Beach / Kelingking Beach is prohibited and life-threatening due to the lack of facilities and strong waves.
If you arrive at the port much earlier than the boat's departure time, we recommend enjoying a cup of coffee at «Maruti Beach Club» located 100 meters from the port while waiting comfortably.
Upon arrival on Nusa Penida Island, an entry fee of 25 000 Rp / person must be paid.
Meals in restaurants and warungs are paid separately.
The snorkeling program may be changed or postponed to another day depending on ocean conditions; any decision regarding changes or postponements is made by the hotel staff.
«MyBaliTrips» is not responsible for manta sightings during snorkeling (see clause 7.3 of user agreement).
Indonesian drivers may not always speak English; sometimes you'll need to take initiative to show them directions from parking to attractions.
On return trip, due to strong low tide on Nusa Penida Island, boarding may occur from shallow waters instead of from a pier. We recommend bringing coral slippers for comfortable boarding or disembarking.
