What To Expect

Day 1. Arrival in Lombok — Transfer to Senaru Village

You will be met by a driver from Rinjani Trekking upon arrival in Lombok. After meeting your driver, you will be transferred to the village of Senaru, located at the foot of Mount Rinjani. The journey will take approximately 3–4 hours, depending on your arrival point.
You will be accommodated in a cozy guesthouse with views of the tropical forest. After check-in, you will have free time to rest and acclimatize.

Day 2. Start of the Trek — Sembalun and the Rinjani Crater Rim

07:00 — After an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your guesthouse and transferred to Sembalun Village. The drive takes about 1.5 hours.
08:30 — Arrival at the Rinjani National Park registration office. Permit registration and the start of your trekking route.
12:00 — Lunch at the second checkpoint during the trek. Along the way, you will enjoy views of mountain meadows and lush vegetation.
17:00 — Arrival at the Sembalun Crater Rim Camp (approx. 2639 m above sea level). From here, you will have panoramic views of the volcano, Lake Segara Anak, and the surrounding area.
18:30 — Dinner, campfire relaxation, and overnight stay in tents. All necessary camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, mats) will be provided.

Day 3. Summit Ascent — Descent to Lake Segara Anak

02:00 — Early wake-up. The final ascent to Mount Rinjani's summit (3726 m) begins. The climb will take about 3–3.5 hours over volcanic sand and rocks.
05:30 — Sunrise at the summit. You'll have about an hour for photos and rest. Enjoy breathtaking views of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and the ocean.
07:00 — Return to the crater rim camp. A hot breakfast and rest will await you.
10:00 — Begin the descent to Lake Segara Anak, located within the volcanic crater.
12:30 — Arrival at the lake. You will have the chance to bathe in natural hot springs, renowned for their healing properties. After the bath — lunch and free time to relax by the water.
18:00 — Dinner, lakeside camping, and overnight stay in tents.

Day 4. Ascent to Senaru Crater Rim

07:00 — Breakfast and leisure time by the lake.
12:00 — Light lunch before the ascent.
14:00 — Begin the climb to the Senaru Crater Rim on the western side.
18:00 — Arrival at the camp. You’ll enjoy dinner with sunset views and spend the night on the crater rim.

Day 5. Descent to Senaru Village — End of the Trek

07:00 — Breakfast and preparation for descent.
07:30 — Start descending through tropical forest to Senaru Village, with short breaks for rest and photo stops along the way.
12:00 — Lunch at a checkpoint along the trail.
13:30 — Arrival in Senaru. After a short rest, you will be transferred to your next destination in Lombok (Sendjigi, Mataram, the airport, etc.).

Important Information:

• You can reach Lombok Island by fast boat from Padang Bai Port or by plane from Ngurah Rai Airport (Denpasar).
• During the trek, porters carry only food, beverages, kitchen equipment, and camping gear. Personal belongings must be carried by yourself.
• As per section 7.3.3 of the user agreement, MyBaliTrips.com is not responsible for weather conditions on the dates you have booked the tour. Weather in the Rinjani caldera is unpredictable — fog, rain, and low visibility may occur during the trek, especially during the rainy season.
