Water is one of the most important elements in Bali. You start to explore the island with its famous beaches that all tourists adore. Its most important arteries go through the thick jungle; they are small streams and big powerful mountain rivers. Kanto Lampo Waterfall
You can start your trip from the central districts. Kanto Lampo Waterfall, one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Bali, is located in the area of Gianyar. Water streams along rocky terraces that make steppes in the cliff. If you would like to have a romantic photo session this is the best choice. Wide soft streams will make the perfect background and atmosphere for your shots. There is a comfortable, safe downhill – you can get to the location in 5-10 minutes. The steppes go through the woods. The railing is decorated with Balinese umbrellas. When you get down – go to the waterfall along the river, where reveals the best view.
Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan Waterfall is located not in the mountains, but in the valley. The way to the waterfall goes through rice fields and colorful village streets. Powerful streams fall from the 25-meter height and make a small lagoon down the mountain. This is a perfect place to relax and swim. Be careful during the rainy season: swim with caution or better don’t swim at all to avoid any risk.
Tibumana Waterfall
Not everyone can stand under Tibumana Waterfall – it runs with roar from 35-meter height. There is only one stream in dry season, and it splits into two in rainy season. There is a lagoon under the waterfall, where you can relax, swim, and enjoy the nature. Fern and moss make the landscape look like a scenery from adventurous movie. There is also a holy spring nearby. Don't forget to take sarong, if you would like to visit it.
Tukad Cepung Waterfall
Tukad Cepung Waterfall is hidden in the narrow gap in stones. You need to go through the jungle first, and then go down to the shallow mountain stream and go forward around 15 minutes. It's a great chance to unite with nature, which is very beautiful here. The waterfall is 15-meter height. You can't see from which point it falls in the cave, it makes a feeling that water floats from the sky. Light reflects in the cave on a sunny weather, and it makes special, magic atmosphere. If you would like to take impressive photos, you should come in the first part of the day, when the light is the best here.
Leke Leke Waterfall
A nicely decorated sigh shows the way to Leke Leke Waterfall. The well-maintained territory looks like thematic insta-park with different art-objects. If you would like to have bright photos on you accounts in social media, you have a chance to take them here. There is a tidy bamboo bridge over the river. The sunbeams mixed with the water flows and make them look like silver satin fabric. The sun is here from 12 to 13 pm – that is the best time for photo shooting.
Sekumpul Waterfall
When you finish exploring the main sights in the center of the island, go to the north. The temperature here is a few degrees lower than in the south. Sekumpul Waterfall, the biggest and the highest in Bali, is located in the dense jungle not far from the city of Singaraja. The way to the waterfall is a fully-fledged trekking in the jungle; it fits well-trained people. You will have quite a long trip in the woods; there is enough time to enjoy the nature. Sekumpul is a complex of 7 waterfalls. The highest falls from 80 meters. You can get wet already in the distance of 30 meters. It’s always cool and wet here. You can hear the sounds of woods and water. You can also swim in the lagoon down the waterfall.
Gitgit Waterfall
Gitgit Waterfall is located 10 kilometers from Singaraja. Probably, that’s the reason why it is the most popular with tourists. It is surrounded with tropical woods where monkeys live. They often come to drink water there. The waterfall has 4 streams of 40-meter height.
Aling-Aling Waterfall
Aling Aling Waterfall is also called ‘the twins’. It’s 30 meters high and the water flow splits in two streams. There is a nature water-park here. A natural pool, ‘blue lagoon’ is down the waterfall. There is also a small waterfall, from which you can dive into the lagoon, and also natural slide that you can ride.
Banyumala Waterfall
Banyumala Waterfall is another waterfall in the north, where you can swim with pleasure. The water in lagoon warms well, so it's nice and comfortable to swim there. An amazing view on the cascade waterfall makes your leisure unforgettable. Also you can take beautiful photos there.
