Die gesamte Reise dreht sich um den Mount Batur – einen aktiven Vulkan im Hochland der Insel, den die meisten nur aus der Ferne sehen. Das Erlebnis beginnt damit, dass man vor der Morgendämmerung die Caldera erreicht, um den Sonnenaufgang vom Rand des Kraters aus zu beobachten, während Mount Abang und der majestätische Agung gleichzeitig erscheinen, wenn das Licht durchbricht. Der Morgen geht weiter mit einer Wanderung über uralte Lavaströme.
Nach dem Abstieg verlagert sich das Tempo zu den natürlichen heißen Quellen am Fuße des Vulkans, gefolgt von einem Dschungelpfad, der zu einem abgeschiedenen Tempel führt, der von Standardtouren oft übersehen wird. Der Rückweg windet sich durch gestufte Reisfelder und vervollständigt die Landschaft.

Your driver meets you at the airport with a MyBaliTrips sign and takes you straight to Ayung Resort Ubud. The hotel sits above the Ayung River, surrounded by jungle — far enough from central Ubud to actually feel quiet. Check in, settle in. If you want to use the hotel spa before the early start tomorrow, now's the time. If not, just get some sleep — the alarm goes off at 3am.
3:20am, your guide picks you up. You drive to the caldera in the dark.
By sunrise you're standing on the rim. From here you can see three volcanoes at once: Batur in front of you, Mount Abang to the east, and Agung — Bali's highest point — rising behind everything. Lake Batur below, flat and glassy at that hour.
After the sunrise, a walk through the lava fields to the crater. The landscape is unlike anything else on the island — black rock, no vegetation, the kind of silence that makes you stop talking.
Around midday, the natural hot springs at the base of the volcano. Warm mineral water, mountain views, no crowds.
Then into the jungle on the slopes of Mount Abang, to Bubung Renteng Temple — an old Balinese temple that doesn't make it onto most itineraries. Stone statues, dense forest, no other tourists.
After lunch, the road back passes through traditional Balinese villages and rice paddies. You're back at the hotel by around 2pm.
The rest of the evening is free. Ubud Market is nearby if you want to look around, or the Blanco Renaissance Museum — an eccentric private gallery built inside an old mansion with tropical gardens. Or just walk through Ubud itself.
The morning is yours to spend at a slower pace: there is time for breakfast at the resort, a final stroll through the grounds, or a quiet moment by the pool before departure. It is a chance to gather your thoughts and enjoy the island’s atmosphere one last time.
Later, a driver will arrive at the hotel lobby to take you to Bali Airport Ngurah Rai. The pick-up time is scheduled individually, based on your flight departure and current traffic conditions. To ensure a seamless journey to the terminal, we recommend confirming the exact transfer time with your manager in advance.
Der Transfer vom Flughafen zum Ayung Resort Ubud war makellos und pünktlich! Der Fahrer war äußerst höflich. Die Reise selbst führte zu vielen schönen Orten – der Affenwald war ein absolutes Highlight mit seinen frei umherlaufenden Makaken. Auch der Besuch der Reisterrassen von Tegalalang war wie ein Schritt in eine Postkarte – einfach umwerfend! Ich kann diese Tour sehr empfehlen.
Großartige Tour mit kleinen Mängeln. Ich habe die Aussicht auf die Tegalalang Reisterrassen sehr genossen, hätte mir aber mehr Zeit am Tegenungan Wasserfall gewünscht. Außerdem wäre es toll, das Mittagessen in das Programm einzubeziehen, aber abgesehen davon war die Organisation erstklassig!
