Journey from Bali to Bromo and Ijen Volcanoes

Day 1. Transfer from Bali to Mount Bromo

09:00 — a driver from the service provider company will arrive at the meeting point. You need to be at the "McDonald's" Kuta parking area 15 minutes before the transfer departure.
You’ll travel in a comfortable car across western Bali, passing beaches, rice fields, and the island’s national park.

12:00–13:00 — ferry crossing to Banyuwangi port on East Java. A lunch stop will be made in Ketapang before continuing the journey to volcano Bromo.

18:00 — you’ll arrive at village, check into the hotel, and rest after a long day.

Day 2. Sunrise on Bromo and Madakaripura Waterfall

03:00 — departure from the hotel by 4WD jeep to reach the viewpoint before sunrise.

04:00 — arrival at Penanjakan viewpoint on the edge of Tengger caldera, where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking sunrise over volcano Bromo.

06:00 — drive across the "Sea of Sand" and start the climb to Bromo’s crater. After 240 steps, you’ll reach the top and admire the volcanic landscape. Then return to the hotel for breakfast and packing.

10:00 — departure to Madakaripura Waterfall. You’ll spend about two hours exploring the canyon and cooling off in the mist of the falls.

After visiting the waterfall, you will head to the hotel located at the foot of Mount Ijen. On the way, there will be a short stop for a medical check-up and to obtain a climbing permit for Mount Ijen. Then you’ll enjoy lunch at a cozy local café serving traditional Javanese cuisine.

Check in at the hotel and rest until midnight.

Day 3. Climb to Mount Ijen and return to Bali

00:30 — departure from the hotel to the foot of the active Mount Ijen. Before the hike begins, you will be provided with all the necessary equipment — headlamps and respirator masks to ensure a comfortable and safe ascent.

02:00 — start of the trek. The ascent will take about 1.5–2 hours, depending on your physical fitness. At the crater, you’ll witness Ijen’s famous blue flames — a rare natural phenomenon caused by burning sulfur gases.

At sunrise, you’ll reach 2,386 meters above sea level, where you’ll admire stunning mountain views and the turquoise acid lake.

06:00 — start descending from the volcano. The descent will take about 2 hours. After returning to the hotel, breakfast will be served and you’ll have time to pack.

10:30 — check-out from the hotel and departure to Bali.

17:00 — arrival time at the meeting point depends on the distance of the area and traffic conditions.

Access to Mount Bromo is limited to 1 km from the crater or up to the lower staircase. Further ascent depends on weather and guide’s decision.

Access to Ijen’s crater is allowed only up to 500 m from the sulfur source. Descent to the lake is prohibited.

Это показался идеальным туром. Да, дорога долгая, но туда она прошла совсем незаметно, плюс везут по красивым улочкам, где всю дорогу любуешься красотой. Водитель нам попался тоже отличный Бульдог (Кетут). Сопровождающий Сигит присоединился к нам уже на Яве, тоже очень классный гид. По самой программе, наверное, сильных ожиданий не было, чтобы не расстраиваться, но реальность сильно положительно удивила. Рассвет на Бромо и все окрестности очень красивые. Хотя и было немного облачно, казалось, что эти облака еще больше создают атмосферы и красоты. Открывающийся вид на храмы сквозь дымку с кратера тоже очень впечатлили. К водопадам отношусь спокойно, но этот тоже оставил самые классные впечатления, ну и мощь и энергетика воды всегда подпитывают. Виды красивые, местный сопровождающий делает классные фото и видео. Ну и финалочка Иджен. Отдельно на Иджен я ранее уже ездила, тогда впечатлилась, в этот раз за компанию с друзьями второй раз пошла. И не зря, тк в тот первый раз мы к огню не спускались, вроде из-за погодных условий или чего-то вроде того, а в этот раз спустились, увидели, впечатлились. Озеро да, красивое, но я уже знала, что ожидать и такого впечатления, как в первый раз, не было, но просто на красоту смотреть всегда приятно. В общем, мне прям 10/10 зашла сама программа тура. Небольшая ложка дегтя - это долгое ожидание парома на обратном пути, ну и сам паром дрейфовал лишние полчаса. Хоть мы и были уставшие после такой насыщенной программы, но нас опять везли по очень красивой дороге, что даже спать было преступлением и мы любовались видами .
