Meeting with the guide before the hike
03:00 — you need to arrive at the base of the service provider. Here, you’ll meet other participants and your guide, who will give a short briefing and provide flashlights. You’ll be offered a light breakfast — a banana pancake, tea, and coffee. After breakfast, a vehicle from the service provider will take you to the starting point where the hike begins.
Climbing Mount Batur
04:00 — the ascent to Mount Batur begins. To make the 1717-meter climb more comfortable, several rest stops are planned along the way. You’ll reach the summit at sunrise, where you’ll be greeted with a stunning view of the caldera and the mist-covered mountain lake. A light snack and water will be provided at the top. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the sunrise and take beautiful photos before returning to the starting point. From there, a vehicle from driver will take you back to the base.

The weather in the Batur volcano caldera is unpredictable. During the ascent, fog, rain, and low visibility are possible, especially during the rainy season.
