What To Expect

At the scheduled time, a driver from SemayaOne will arrive and wait for you at the entrance of your villa or at the hotel reception.

Set off on your own adventure and explore the amazing spots of Nusa Penida. Enjoy the ride and the safe driving. The drivers are punctual, attentive, and know the island well.

SemayaOne provides comfortable, air-conditioned cars. All vehicles are regularly maintained.

Important Information:

  • For a minimum 6-hour rental, you can explore either the western or eastern part of the island. If you have more time, we recommend splitting your trip into 2 days.
  • Each additional hour costs 75,000 IDR.
  • If your route covers both the western and eastern parts of the island, there’s an extra charge of 200,000 IDR.
  • If you start in the western part and travel to the eastern part (or vice versa), there’s also an extra charge of 200,000 IDR.
  • Extra charges are to be paid in cash to the driver in Indonesian Rupiah.
  • Note that there are no lights on the descents to beaches and natural attractions in Nusa Penida. Make sure to finish your sightseeing and return to your hotel before sunset.

    The driver/guide Wayan Mika is knowledgeable with the place, he recommends and suggest where to go within the time.     The driver Tawan spoke enough english to set up and agree upon a plan for the route, and was a very good driver. I sent him a list of goals and he told me we will try to do as much as possible from my list of goals to visit, and he didnt dissapoint. For anyone who will try to see everything on the island, you need more than 6 hours. The distances per say are not very long, but theres a lot of ups and downs and curves and serpentines, where you have to slow down considerably and that will take a long time. My driver was very skilful, and tried to minimise the wasted time as much as possible, and he didnt even took a lunch break, just so i can see as much as i can. He also came with me on some not exaclty easy locations, with lots of stairs, helped me with pictures and even carried my sandals when i needed all my hands to climb, without even asking him to do so. I couldn't have asked for a better driver. He went above and beyond the duties of a driver.

    Yes Nusa Penida is a beautiful place and still untouched to a certain point but the government really need to spend some money on making the island more safe and organised if they are welcoming thousands of tourist every day.
